Not a bad river to fish as long as you don't plan on eating them. Great for pictures, don't swim in it without deodorant and sterilization wipes for after. It's beautiful though, and epic to canoe or kayak down.

Somebody isnt being fair about the profits there cleaning up. I say count all joy. I posted earlier about the kennebec river different post. Give God The Glory he is bringing his people together.

Having grown up beside this river I am proud of how Maine has both cleaned it up and highlighted it with parks and trails. It was so very grim a scene when I was a boy. Nothing green where the water touched. So very thankful for the restored natural beauty of this wonderful river.

The Madison boat landing has been cleaned up a bit, it's certainly different than it was growing up. The river is much cleaner these days too. While not the best part of the river for swimming at this landing, it's a good place to have a lunch, take the dog for a swim, or fish.

this river is absolutely beautiful but polluted with toxins from paper mills that have run their dioxin through it for years. Is a great fishing spot but however do not eat the fish. The views a great and it is a shame that the river is polluted.
